Sound of Stereo

BIOGRAPHY

Untill some time ago "Sound" and "Stereo" were just two words that popped up every once in a while in your hifi-installation's manual. In 2008 those two words stopped being just random: "Sound Of Stereo" saw the light of day. In november 2008, their first "Zoopah Dupah" EP came out on Lektroluv Records and had massive response in Belgium and abroad. The follow-up single "Heads Up!" was an instant succes because of it’s tracklisting by the likes of MSTRKRFT, Crookers, Armand Van Helden, Bloody Beetroots and many more. In the meantime Sound of Stereo started travelling abroad to dj at parties all over Europe. Enter 2009: In Belgium Sound of Stereo dj’s at large events such as I Love Techno, Pukkelpop festival, Dour festival, 10 Days off and so on. At the end of 2009 their “Zipper EP” came out on Lektroluv Records and was immediately supported by Tiga, Brodinski, Steve Aoki, Jack Beats, Djedjotronic, Riva Starr, MSTRKRFT and many more. Speaking of Aoki: Steve likes Sound of Stereo so much that he asked them to do a release on his famous Dim Mak label. And so it happened: the “Flatland EP” came out at the end of march 2010. To promote the Flatland EP Sound of Stereo did a huge tour in the US, covering cities from Vancouver to Miami to LA to Mexico city and beyond. In the summer of 2010 Sound of Stereo played large events all over the world: Electric Daisies Carnival, Les Ardentes, Tomorrowland, Beatpatrol festival, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Electrosanne and much more. Their latest Helium EP came out at the end of september 2010 and in the past few months they did official remixes for people like Shinichi Osawa, Proxy, Paul Chambers and Ciara. In between touring and remixing they are in the studio working on their debut album that will be released in 2011.
